About Zinnia

Zinnia Basame O. is an African born singer-songwriter based in Lagos, Nigeria. Her sound can be described as multifaceted, cutting across several genres but each maintaining a special “Zinnia” vibe. Zinnia’s career started while still in Secondary School with a small music group called Brightphace, she and her band became continental champions at the Nescafe African Revolution. When it comes to music, her favorite part has always been the singing, the experience of releasing oneself and sharing her entire being with millions of other people in three minutes. She got her first break when she became the first female and first Anglophone-Cameroonian to win the Les Brasseries du Cameroun Mutzig Star competition.
